Canon announced that it will launch two innovative printers in mid-March 2025: the GX series commercial inkjet printer and the imagePROGRAF PRO-G2 large-format inkjet printer, respectively, to create differentiated solutions for the business office and professional imaging markets.

GX Series Inkjet Printers

GX Series Inkjet Printers include the GX7130 all-in-one printer and the GX5130 single-function printer, designed to improve the efficiency of small and medium-sized office printing. GX series printers adopt the revolutionary "GIGA TANK" ink tank system. A single refill of the black ink bottle can print about 9,000 pages of A4 paper, and the total print volume of three-color ink is up to 21,000 pages. With a multi-purpose paper tray that supports a capacity of 250 pages and a rear feed system that can handle special-shaped media (including window envelopes/posters/labels, etc.), the time cost of replacing consumables and media adaptation is significantly reduced.

In terms of printing quality, with the combination of the new Canon pigment ink and the intelligent image processing engine, ordinary office paper can be printed with high-contrast documents and vivid charts. Specially optimized anti-penetration technology ensures sharp edges of text without smudging, and can achieve professional-grade printing effects even in important business documents and proposal documents.

Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-G2 Large-format Inkjet Printer

The PRO-G2 large-format printer for photography enthusiasts is based on A3+ format and 10-color LUCIA PROⅡ pigment ink system as its core competitiveness. The new pigment ink increases the light resistance of the work from 60 years to 200 years, and the added wax component further enhances the scratch resistance of the glossy photo paper, providing double protection for the mounting and transportation of the printing work.

The PRO-G2 large-format printer is equipped with an intelligent gloss control system, which automatically adjusts the reflective properties of different media surfaces through transparent "chromaticity optimizer" ink to ensure that glossy/matte photo paper can present accurate color reproduction. Matte black ink specially designed for art paper media can deeply show the dark details and texture of the picture. It is worth mentioning that Canon uses environmentally friendly pulp molding to replace traditional foam packaging, which improves the protection of the product while practicing the concept of sustainable development.
