In order to complete the binding indicators of energy conservation and emission reduction in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" and build a modern printing and dyeing industry system with optimized structure, advanced technology, clean safety and high added value, based on the significant progress made in the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association continues to be committed to promoting technological innovation in the industry and organizing the research, development and promotion of advanced energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies that printing and dyeing enterprises urgently need.

Since 2007, the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association has released four batches of the "Recommended Catalog of Advanced Technologies for Energy Saving and Emission Reduction in China's Printing and Dyeing Industry", and has launched 119 advanced practical technologies for energy conservation and emission reduction. In response to the strong request of the majority of printing and dyeing enterprises, the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association organized various printing and dyeing enterprises to apply for the fifth batch of "Recommended Catalog of Advanced Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Technologies for China's Printing and Dyeing Industry" at the beginning of 2011 to increase the promotion of advanced energy saving and emission reduction technologies and equipment, and promote the printing and dyeing industry develops healthily and sustainably.

After nearly half a year of selection by industry experts and a week of publicity, HONGSAM ReactoMe® reactive dye ink for digital textile printing was selected into the fifth batch of the "Recommended Catalog of Advanced Technologies for Energy Saving and Emission Reduction in China's Printing and Dyeing Industry".

From November 2 to 5, 2011, the "2011 National Printing and Dyeing Industry Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Conference" was hosted by the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association, co-organized by Zhejiang Chuanhua Co., Ltd., the Environmental Protection Technology Professional Committee of the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. The "2011 National Printing and Dyeing Industry Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Conference" was held in the Peony Hall on the 6th floor of Sunshine International Hotel in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The theme of this annual meeting is "Promoting Industrial Upgrading by Energy Saving and Environmental Protection", and the "Fifth Batch Recommended Catalog of Advanced Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Technologies for China's Printing and Dyeing Industry" was released at the meeting.

On November 4, Mr. Liang Chaomin, general manager of Hongsam Digital, delivered a speech on "Digital Printing - The Development Direction of Energy Saving and Environmental Protection in the Printing Industry". Guests attending the meeting were deeply shocked by that at the just-concluded ITMA exhibition, the speed of digital printing machines had reached 8,000 square meters/hour.
