From June 10th to 11th, 2014, the China national digital textile printing inks standard formulation meeting was held at Zhengzhou Guanghua Hotel. The meeting was hosted by the National Ink Standardization Committee and co-organized by Zhengzhou Hongsam Digital Science and Technology Co., Ltd. Nearly 20 people from inkjet ink and dye manufacturers, consumables authoritative testing agencies and well-known industry experts from all over the country participated in the national digital textile printing ink standard formulation meeting.

China is the world's largest textile production base, and the textile industry has always been China's economic pillar industry. The direction of China's textile industry is a major event in the world textile industry. Since the beginning of this century, digital printing has gradually become the growth point and future development direction of the industry. Inkjet ink for textile digital printing has become the main force influencing and leading China's textile digital printing industry. Since 2000, many domestic digital textile ink manufacturers had based themselves on the domestic market and caught up, gradually replacing the monopoly of foreign inks in the field of digital printing.

However, the growth of the industry requires standardization, especially in the field of digital textile printing, which is closely related to everyone. In order to ensure the healthy development of the digital inkjet industry, protect the interests of consumers, and enhance the competitiveness of the industry, the formulation of technical norms and safety standards was becoming more and more important.

The national digital textile printing ink standard formulation meeting fully discussed the requirements for the preparation of five standards such as technical conditions for water based pigment inks, reactive dye inks, disperse dye inks, acid dye inks, and water-based inkjet dyes inks for textile digital printing and dyeing. The drafting team leaders of the five standards presented their professional insights on the drafting of the standards and the problems encountered during the drafting process, and conducted in-depth communication and exchanges with the experts present, and determined the basic principles for the drafting. Chen Aijun, the Secretariat of the National Ink Standardization Committee, was authorized to preside over the daily work of the Standardization Committee. He presided over this meeting and put forward clear requirements on the standards making schedule.

The meeting conducted in-depth discussions on whether the standards should be in line with international textile safety and testing standards, the relationship with standards of green environmental label product, and the testing methods and characterization methods of various indicators. Everyone enthusiastically expressed their opinions on be basis of their own professional standpoints. The scene was full of in-depth discussions and friendly disputes, which opened a good start for the scientific formulation of standards.

After the meeting, the participants visited Hongsam Digital Technology Park, and Qin Guosheng, chairman of Hongsam Digital, gave a detailed introduction to digital textile inks of Hongsam Digital.
