Canon announced the imagePROGRAF PRO-1100, a new A2 model in its line of desktop inkjet professional printers. Aimed at professional photographers and photo enthusiasts, the printer is focused on delivering high-quality photo prints and durability.

Enhanced Color Gamut
The imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 features newly developed pigment ink, LUCIA PRO II, which delivers a wider color range compared to the existing imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 model. This enables the printer to produce prints with greater color depth and detail, capturing the nuances of photography.

Durability

The Canon pigment ink offers strong light-fastness and scratch resistance, helping to preserve prints for a long time, with a light-fastness rating of up to 200 years. The 12-ink pigment system offers a wider color gamut for smooth color gradations and deeper blacks and blues, making it suitable for all types of photography, including landscapes and challenging shadow scenes.

Deeper Black
For users who prefer a matte finish on art paper, the printer includes matte black ink that enhances black density for richer blacks, which is great for black and white photography. The upgraded imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 also supports printing on glossy and semi-gloss papers, maintaining an even gloss level with Chroma Optimiser. It resists scratches on these types of prints, helping to ensure they are not damaged during mounting, packaging and display.

Multi-function and Reliability
The new imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 shares the same printheads, inks and software with Canon larger models machine, with consistency across print sizes from 17" to 60" width. It's a practical choice for photographers who need a smaller setup for proofing but want the ability to scale to larger formats.
