HP has announced the launch of its HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series printers, with plans to fully launch the Live Production feature.
The new series printer and industry-first Live Production demonstrate HP’s commitment to providing print service providers (PSPs) with the right tools to extend large-format printing applications in an ever-changing market.
In the fast-moving business environment, businesses must be prepared for constant change, according to HP. HP understands the challenges that print service providers face in balancing profitability and investment. Economic conditions, labor costs, and technological advances present both opportunities and dilemmas. For print service providers, the dilemma is clear: they must invest in technology to stay competitive, but if scalability is not carefully considered, it will lead to a strain on resources. According to HP’s recent customer insights, 97% of customers agree that continued technology investment is necessary to stay competitive, but 84% of customers say they want to keep their existing large-format printers for longer. HP scalable platforms meet this challenge by providing solutions that grow with your business.
“This launch is a major milestone in our innovation strategy and demonstrates our commitment to our customers and partnerships.” said Daniel Martinez, global head and general manager of HP Large Format. “The launch of the new HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series printer, as well as the upcoming new Live Production capabilities, are more than just product launches. These solutions are designed to help mid- and high-volume print service providers prepare for the future with the most advanced hardware and software solutions for continuous adaptability. By enabling their workflows and devices to grow in tandem with their business, these cutting-edge solutions ensure our customers remain competitive in an ever-changing market.”
Driving Growth
“We understand the importance of scalability and growth for high-volume and long-term print service providers. With the introduction of the HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series printers and the upcoming new capabilities of Live Production software, we are extending scalability to both hardware and software solutions. Our goal is to provide PSPs with the tools they need to achieve sustainable growth and thrive in an ever-changing market.” said Oscar Vidal, Global Director, Large Format Printing Products and Strategy.
The new HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series have outstanding results across a wide range of high-margin work with up to 30% expanded color gamut. These scalable
digital printers are designed to meet customer expectations, keep up with the latest technological advances, and tap into new business.
The HP Latex FS50 printer is a scalable platform that can meet growing business needs and is ideal for large PSPs who looks for efficient superwide format printing. Similarly, the HP Latex FS60 machine prints at speeds up to 89 m²/h, and its modular and scalable design improves productivity and cost-effectiveness. PSPs can further reduce costs by upgrading to 10L ink capacity and using user-replaceable printheads.
Both HP Latex FS50 and FS60 models offer a wide range of signage and decoration printing, including films, vinyl, and odorless backlit textiles, ensuring consistent color and quality configurations. The scalable platform of the HP Latex FS50 and FS60 allows for easy integration of future enhancements while providing longer life and reducing environmental impact. The HP Latex FS50 and FS60 series printers meet environmental certifications with water-based odorless
latex ink and no hazardous air pollutants. The HP Latex FS50 printer is available worldwide, while the HP Latex FS60 printer is available in select regions only.
Live Production
HP Live Production software is a new solution that helps PSPs remotely manage their print workflows. The groundbreaking HP PrintOS Live Production solution allows users to remotely control devices and process their printing queues in real time through desktop and new mobile apps. This helps PSPs scale and increase profitability, streamline production processes and achieve greater efficiency.
Customers highlighted the importance of remote control in live production, especially in areas facing labor shortages. Automation and remote management capabilities are essential to meet these challenges as companies look to reduce manual intervention and streamline workflows. Customers explained that “There is a need for greater control over production, especially when printing unattended, noting how valuable it would be to monitor printer status, perform remote actions and receive ink notifications.”
